Growing up the oldest of four siblings, Hilton moved between several homes, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in her native Manhattan, Beverly Hills and the Hamptons. Paris Hilton is a business woman for the blog generation, and her yoga pants-and-bikini top combo is the new pantsuit. Calling Paris Hilton "gross" is such a popular activity it might as well be an Olympic sport. The gold medal would go to all the jealous girlfriends who wish their skin were that tanned, their stomachs that flat, their breasts that perky, and their boyfriends that fit.

In 2003, Hilton and her lifelong friend and fellow celebutante Nicole Richie were sent to live with the blue collar Leding family in Altus, Arkansas, for a month. We watched them toil in mud, milk cows, plow fields, and work the drive-in all while charming the skeptical town folk with their glossy charm and aw-shucks demeanor. Audiences fell for the plucky duo, not knowing whether to cringe or rejoice at the girls' utter lack of real world savvy. America was charmed and the show was a hit.
